CLT - Direct Lending: Weighing the Pros and Cons of Direct Lending vs. More Traditional Fixed Income Investments
Gary Henson, managing Director and President of Tortoise, will discuss Direct Lending. As advisors have searched for higher yielding vehicles over the last several years, Gary believes that direct lending offers a unique opportunity for investors. He will outline the benefits (reducing duration and credit risk) and disadvantages (usually taking on illiquidity risk) of direct lending vs. more traditional fixed income investments. This presentation will examine how direct lending can offer advantages such as higher yields, discounted pricing, and stronger debt covenant protections than broadly syndicated loans.
